Our friendly and enthusiastic team of personal trainers can help you achieve your health and fitness goals, no matter what they are. We train clients with all sorts of life circumstances, from those wanting to regain their fitness after having children or a period of ill-health, to those aiming to compete in marathons and triathlons.

Personal training at Kristy Ellis is not about being barked at once a week during an intense exercise session. This isn't fun and isn't likely to help you achieve your weight loss or fitness goals. Instead, we will support you to make a whole lifestyle change. This may include changing your mindset, overhauling your eating habits and increasing your level of physical activity in a steady and sustainable way. Our aim is to leave you with healthy behaviours that will last a lifetime.

No personal training session with us is ever the same as we will introduce you to a variety of exercises while using a wide range of equipment. Not only is this more fun but it also produces better results as your body is constantly being challenged in new ways.

Our personal training services can incorporate any of the following:

  • Weight loss training
  • Muscle toning and shaping
  • Core stability and strengthening
  • Boxing for fitness
  • TRX suspension training
  • Body weight training
  • Diet and nutrition advice

Our PT clients can choose from three membership levels depending on how many sessions a week are required. You can also bring a friend or two and train with them.

Whatever your goals are: to lose weight, improve fitness, build muscle, fit into your old clothes or just to feel more confident in yourself, our trainers can help. We will tailor each session specifically to your needs and ensure that it’s at a level that is manageable for you while still being challenging enough to be of benefit.

All our personal training memberships include:

  • Monthly weigh ins and measurements
  • Before and after photos to see your progress
  • Regular email support to keep you on track
  • Motivation and accountability

Our Bronze membership includes one hour-long personal training session per week plus nutritional advice.

Our Silver membership includes two one-hour sessions per week and a personalised food plan to help keep you on track.

Our Gold membership includes the same food plan and three one-hour sessions per week to maximise your results.

Having a personal trainer keeps me motivated each week to try and stay in line! The training has not just been to achieve a goal for my wedding but also a lifestyle change. It has taught me about the foods to stay away from that I would never have thought were filled with sugar before (eg. yoghurts).

My only regret is not signing up sooner.

After a challenging year I knew it was time to make a change and start a healthy year. From my initial consultation with Kristy and my first session with Gemma I immediately knew I was in safe hands. Initially I was sceptical, scared and anxious about the prospect of having a 'personal trainer', having hated exercises and physical education previously but Gemma soon put my at ease. The sessions are fun, banter is great and I (secretly) enjoy it. Credit to all the staff at Kristy Ellis Personal Training. I really couldn't recommend them enough. My only regret is not signing up sooner.

I feel a lot better, both physically and mentally.

I used to hate exercising but now that I've been training with Kristy for just over a year I can say I'm totally addicted! Not only have I just dropped my dress size from 16-18 to a size 12 but I've become so much stronger and I feel a lot better, both physically and mentally. Student life can sometimes be super hectic and nothing relaxes me quite like a hard workout with Kristy or a good session of Hotpod Yoga. I've also learned that a healthy diet doesn't necessarily mean boring food and that you can still enjoy occasional treats without feeling guilty.

The one-on-one relationship with my personal trainer really helps motivate me.

Over the past month I have learnt so much: what not to eat, how to exercise effectively and how to take care of my body properly. I used to dread going to the gym sometimes but now I have realised that exercise can be enjoyable. The one-on-one relationship with my personal trainer really helps motivate me to make sure I eat healthily throughout the week and keep up the exercises. I have had such a fantastic month and I am very much looking forward to continuing my journey.
