Simple Healthy Homemade Flapjacks

A healthy and tasty flapjack alternative recipe that is so quick and easy to make it can fit into the busiest of lifestyles.

  • 100g coconut oil
  • 2 bananas
  • 250g porridge oats
  • 25g of pumpkin seeds (optional)
  • 25g sunflower seeds (optional)
  • 50g sultanas (optional)


  1. Pre-heat oven to 180 C / Gas Mark 5.
  2. Melt the coconut oil in a pan.
  3. Mash the bananas in a bowl.
  4. Add the coconut oil and porridge oats to the mashed bananas and stir.
  5. Mix in the seeds and sultanas (optional). 
  6. Place a sheet of baking paper in a tray and play the mixture on top spreading it evenly. Use a masher to press it down.. 
  7. Bake in the oven for 25 minutes. 
  8. Remove from oven and allow to cool before cutting into 12 pieces.
